Dreaming BIG seven spectacular concerts Eudlo Hall Sunshine Coast

Featuring Louise King cello with guest pianist Catherine Guinevere-Lynaugh

Dreaming BIG concert 5 is celebrating the rich and golden sound of the cello. This special, intimate concert features a selection of Louise King’s favourite cello music with piano. This special music collection is handpicked because of the memories evoked from her childhood; expect interesting introductions about each piece. Come along and experience gorgeous music by Debussy, Mendelssohn, Vaughan Williams, Saint-Saëns, Arvo Pärt, Fauré, Ravel and groovy Australian music by Matthew Hindson. Guest professional pianist Catherine Guineve-Lynaugh is travelling from Brisbane especially at the invite of Artistic Director Louise King to perform for one night only in Eudlo.

“Musicians simply love playing great music with inspiring musicians for audiences who care,” says Artistic Director and soloist for the concert Louise King. “Expect to be up close and personal as the audience will be seated close to the performers for this intimate concert. We love to meet people after the performance. Catherine and I met playing for the 4mbs luxury New Zealand Cruise Concerts Series in 2012. We discovered a shared joy in salon music and love playing to an appreciative audience. I am excited to bring this stunning nostalgic concert program CELLO BALLADE to Eudlo as part of the dreaming BIG series and on my birthday –what better way to celebrate it!”

Soloist and Artistic Director of the dreaming BIG series, Louise King is known for her virtuosity, heart-felt musicianship and commanding stage presence. An internationally renowned musician, a competition winning, music award-winning and highly-prized graduate of both the Royal College and Royal Northern College of Music in London and Manchester, Louise King ‘Exudes a vigorous artistry that surely appeals to a younger generation of music lovers.'
The Australian

Catherine Guinevere-Lynagh studied piano at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University with Oleg Stepanov. She has been a first prizewinner of the Queensland Piano Competition, the Charles and Motee Rogers Memorial Piano Competition, and the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University's Margaret Nickson Prize.

Already promising to be the hot ticket of 2014 for music lovers, there are just three more concerts this year in DREAMING BIG celebrating great classical music with Australian renowned musicians all building community connection and enriching the community with performance and guest artist Youth Music Workshops. The audience can enjoy mingling with guest artists and take advantage of the cash bar and vintage dessert bar provided as a community fundraiser by Eudlo Hall & Recreational Grounds Association.

Artistic Director and Cellist, Louise King said, “dreaming BIG concert series offers the hinterland community an opportunity to experience world-class concerts in a rural, relaxing setting.  Music can animate the heart of Eudlo by bringing the community together.  For me this is the great purpose of music. It’s great to bring great inspiring artists and wonderful music to my home area. It’s a music event deserving of a community celebration. If you have a passion for trying new things and are musically adventurous, these concerts are not to be missed.”
