Journey Along the Silk Road

Direct from New York City! Bellyqueen a world-fusion dance company directed by Kaeshi Chai teams up with A'Diva Brisbane Bellydance Collective to bring the acclaimed theatrical dance show, Journey Along the Silk Road to Brisbane for the first time! The story follows a princess as she searches for three magical ingredients to save her dying mother, the Empress. Don’t miss this opportunity to see dances from China, Turkey, Middle East and India come to life through the lens of theatre. Since 2009, this show has been performed in New York, Taiwan, Tokyo, Bangkok, Montreal, Vermont, and Massachusetts.

Here in Oz, there are 3 cities presenting this specatular dance theatre production, Perth, Sydney & Brisbane with a different cast in each city. 75 dancers have auditioned & registered to be a part of this intensive performance residency from across Australia and even internationally. They'll train under the guidance of 5 world renown Bellyqueen dancers and be part of this talented cast to present an international dance theatre production.
