Duo Vela: Enchanting music from across the seas

With a ship and the stars to guide, let Duo Vela transport across the ocean to the other lands. Experience new sounds and indulge your senses in the colours and picturesque secnes painted by the flute and guitar.

Formed in 2014, the American based husband and wife duo is comprised of Australian guitarist Daniel Nistico and American flutist Marla Nistico. Duo Vela's main goals are to break the "classical norm" and challenge the traditional audience and performer relationship. In 2016, Duo Vela travel to China and Australia for a series of concerts including their first Brisbane performance as part of the Clem Jones City Hall Concert series.
