ROMANTIC CELLO WORKSHOP presented by Cello Dreaming

Experience an informative and in-depth workshop exploring the Romantic period style, repertoire choices, strategies to improve your musical expression and specific left hand and bow techniques to fully express this music.

Afternoon includes Teaching In Action masterclass, workshop for all ages, cello choir and community showcase. Level: Grade 4 AMEB (Suzuki book 3) to advanced players - cellists of all ages. A skill-enriching workshop for intermediate to advanced cellists of any age exploring Romantic music written for the cello featuring famous works by Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, Elgar, Bantock, Bruch, Mendelssohn, Saint-Saens and Popper. Presented by Teaching Artist and professional musician Louise King, this music workshop will give participants the opportunity to create, interpret and develop musicianship skills and performances based techniques plus spend time connecting and supporting other emerging aspiring musicians.
