Australian Army Band (Brisbane) - Seniors Week Concert 2018

Since its formation in 1949, the Australian Army Band - Brisbane (AAB-B) has become known throughout Queensland as one of the finest Military Bands in Australia, enjoying a wide reputation for its musical excellence and impressive military appearance. The AAB-B Stage Band is a hard swinging, exciting ensemble consisting of the traditional line up from the glorious swing era of saxophones, trumpets, trombones and rhythm, complemented with male and female vocals. Repertoire ranges from traditional big band sounds (such as Glenn Miller, Count Basie and Woody Herman) through to funky arrangements of pop and rock hits. The band also plays modern big band music such as the Gordon Goodwin Big Band, and compositions by James Morrison, Ed Wilson and Tim Davies.
