Support MZAZA’s tour to fire-affected communities

- May 31, 2020

Award-winning music ensemble MZAZA are raising money to tour to fire-affected communities. The project has been selected by Creative Partnerships Australia for an Australian Cultural Fund Boost Grant. This means that ACF will match money raised by the band to tour and deliver skill-building workshops to communities in NSW and Victoria. This tour will follow the band’s tour of regional Queensland planned for October this year. Money raised in May will be matched dollar for dollar and all donations are tax deductible.

The band has until the end of May to reach their goal. Workshops in fire affected areas and admission to concerts will be kept accessible to people in financial difficulty and after a difficult few months of lost income, cancelled tours and delayed releases due to Covid-19, this project will enable the group to get back on the road.

Singer Pauline Maudy says:
“We are passionate about bringing impactful stories, inspiring music and meaningful engagement that has a long term positive impact on individuals and communities. The chance to contribute to fire-affected communities is particularly important to us as we saw the impact on communities first-hand on tour and when a member of MZAZA was personally affected by the fires on her property in NSW. We thank you for your donations and support and look forward to continuing to do what we do best - sharing stories, skills and music.”
