Introduction to Balkan Music

Join Mzaza’s talented instrumentalists for a fantastic workshop on Balkan tunes! Bring your weapon of choice, get ready to embrace crazy time signatures, new scales and exotic ornaments, and delve into traditional songs from Bulgaria and Macedonia and Turkey. Musicians who read music and those who learn by ear are both welcome. We’ll send you some sheet music and uke/guitar tabs beforehand and a how-to video. Feel free to record the workshop.
