Immerse yourself in the hauntingly beautiful and ethereal world of the Black Square Quartet for their upcoming South East Queensland tour. Inspired by Kasimir Malevich's iconic artwork, The Black Square, the quartet aims to challenge and inspire with their innovative repertoire.

Experience a fusion of Contemporary, Nordic Folk, Balkan Gypsy, and Renaissance music, as the Black Square Quartet pushes the boundaries of classical music. The captivating program features works by Caroline Shaw, Thomas Green, Jessie Montgomery, Danish String Quartet, Michael Bacrncev, and BSQ’s own Mike Patterson.

With a strong focus on new and Australian music, Black Square Quartet has also premiered works by composers such as Thomas Green, Ken Thomson, Cathy Likhuta, and more. Collaborating with some of Australia's finest musicians and ensembles including Trichotomy, Shugorei, Sarah Curro, Aaron Brown, and Steve Newcomb, Black Square Quartet brings a fresh perspective to classical music that you won't want to miss.
